DOWNLOAD Counter-Strike 1.7 LastCS [Updated 2025.05.02]

Instructions:
Extract.
Open SSELauncher.exe, double click "Counter-Strike 1.6 LastCS" for the classic version or "Counter-Strike 1.7 LastCS" for the enhanced version.
Right click on them and select "Create desktop shortcut" to have fast launch icons on your desktop.
If the game doesn't start, install Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable x86 & x64 from the "FIX MSVCR100 ERROR" folder or download them yourself. You can also try installing the latest version of Microsoft .NET Framework if it still doesn't work.
Your antivirus might report a false detection on MetaHook.exe and/or some of its plugins. Whitelist them if that happens. The project is open-source and clean and can be found at

The project is not yet finished and occasional crashes and hangs might occur with the enhanced version. When a better and more stable version will be released I will try to make a new release.
Recommended system specifications for the enhanced version: CPU - at least dual core with 3.5ghz speed or better; GPU - nVIDIA GTX 1050 / AMD RX 570 or better.
If you get low fps, try disabling features in options - > renderer tab. If that doesn't help you can still play the modded version with all of its features except for the graphics. Open Half-Life\cstrike\metahook\configs\plugins.lst and change Renderer.dll to ;Renderer.dll, then save the file.
You can also play through Steam by launching the STEAM shortcuts instead but DO NOT PLAY ON VAC PROTECTED SERVERS as there is a chance you may get your account VAC banned.

Proiectul nu este terminat si se pot intampla crash'uri sau blocari ocazional cu versiunea imbunatatita. Cand va aparea o versiune mai buna si mai stabila o sa incerc sa fac o noua lansare.
Specificatii de sistem recomandate pentru versiunea imbunatatita: Procesor - cel putin 2 nuclee de viteza 3.5ghz sau mai bun; Placa video - nVIDIA GTX 1050 / AMD RX 570 sau mai buna.
Daca ai fps mic, incearca sa opresti functii in tab'ul options - > renderer. Daca nu ajuta, poti juca in continuare varianta modata cu toate caracteristicile in afara de grafica. Deschide Half-Life\cstrike\metahook\configs\plugins.lst si schimba Renderer.dll in ;Renderer.dll, apoi salveaza fisierul.
Poti de asemenea sa joci prin Steam lansand scurtaturile STEAM in schimb dar NU JUCA PE SERVERE PROTEJATE VAC pentru ca exista o sansa sa iei ban VAC pe cont.

so not even the default player models show? you said that on other servers everything is fine. i'm suspecting a gpu memory limit bypass is at work here because the server is using high poly models. cl_minmodels 1 should of displayed the original models and it should of worked since you said that it works on regular servers.

i tried installing 2 metahook plugins and i get the same error for both and i dont know if i did something wrong
i put the plugin in metahook/plugins
and add it's name in plugins.lst

if you tried downgrading the renderer plugin you have to downgrade the whole metahook version

water reflections depend on a lot of factors in this case the easiest way would probably be to change the map textures below the water to be darker

it also depends on textures used. as i said, many facors. you can try downloading maps that have water and try.

you have to disable metahook renderer first if im not mistaking, but trinity will only work if installed on the server too anyway.

worked fine for me until now i will test it when i get home but i will need exact map name
